Jasmine Madeyski

Jasmine (she/her) knew from her first rafting trip that she would dedicate her life to the river. In the ten years since then, she has worked professionally on sixteen river sections in Chile and ten in the United States. Her favorite part of river trips is connecting with folks and helping them feel relaxed and safe in unfamiliar and uncomfortable situations. She loves igniting a passion for wilderness stewardship by facilitating positive experiences in the backcountry and providing tools to take action in the frontcountry.

As a San Diego native, Jasmine started her outdoor career as a horse camp counselor. She then moved to teen leadership sailing expeditions in the San Juan Islands. After discovering whitewater, she guided day stretches near Boise and instructed courses with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).

She tends to spend her winters ski instructing, and is working towards a Masters program for Social Work. She hopes to work in immigration, patient advocacy, and, eventually, individual therapy. Her go-to stoke phrases are, “Ra-Ra-Rafting, Yeehaw Hawyee, and S’go boatin.”
