Auri grew up in the South exploring its crystal-clear waterways by flat-water canoe. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Spanish and Arabic, she headed for frothier H2O in Colorado, Arizona, and Idaho, where she guided commercially for four seasons. The inquisitive side of Auri has landed her a myriad of jobs including operating a pedicab, being a professional baker, a barista, a wilderness instructor, an international guide, and a high school teacher. She loves more things than she dislikes, and she’s nearly always laughing too loudly. Her greatest passions include rock climbing, dutch oven baking, berry foraging, wildflower identifying, and grooving to any music reminiscent of the Talking Heads. Oh! And whitewater. Auri absolutely LOVES anything whitewater.
