Hattie is a Central Oregonian native who considers the small mountain town of Sisters, Oregon home. She is currently teaching both Leadership and Spanish at the Alzar School (a semester-based school for students in high school), based down the road from McCall in Cascade, ID. Throughout the past 10 years, Hattie has lived in most of the western states and has spent long periods of time living, working, and traveling in South America.
New to Idaho, Hattie has enjoyed exploring Idaho’s rivers, whether surfing at Kelly’s whitewater park or on self-supported kayak trips. While on the river, Hattie loves swimming, drawing, playing music, and she is always up for a game! If not on the water, she can be found snuggling with her cat, crafting, mountain biking, experimenting with fermented foods, or scheming for her next big adventure.
