Throughout the summer, a river changes character. Our schedule offers you the opportunity to select which character best suits yours, from the wild and crazy rapids of early June to the tamer adventure offered as summer progresses.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: waterproof dry bags, tents, 2″ thick sleeping pads, camp chairs, personal water bottles (yours to keep), wetsuits/type V rafting PFDs/helmets for rafters and inflatable kayakers, gourmet meals and beverages (including beer & wine), use of our hardshell kayaks and whitewater canoes, for those with the appropriate skill level and experience.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED: $4/day Recreation Enhancement Act Fee, sleeping BAG rental (optional, and available for $35+tax/pp), backcountry flights (optional, except when water levels or conditions require us to launch our Middle Fork trips at Indian Creek, which will require a backcountry flight, for an additional fee. Our launch dates are the same every summer, which makes it easy for those who may be planning further ahead than the coming summer.
A $500/pp deposit is required to confirm a reservation. The balance is due, in full, 60 days prior to the launch (90 days prior for groups of 10 or more who are receiving the 10% group discount). If payment is not received by that date, we may regard your reservation as cancelled. If you find it necessary to cancel your trip, or switch to a later trip date, please notify us as soon as possible. You can telephone, but we will also need a written notice. If we receive written notice of trip cancellation prior to the balance due date, a cancellation fee of $250 per person will apply, which is equal to 50% of the deposit. If cancellations or trip date changes are made on or after the balance due date, no money will be refunded unless we fill the trip, in which case we will refund all but the cancellation charge(s).
We regret we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies. For this reason, we strongly urge you to purchase trip cancellation insurance (available through your travel agent, or see “Accommodations & Other Services” for a direct link to Travel Guard). Guests who must cancel are welcome to find replacements for their spaces. In this case, a full refund will be issued only after trip replacements have paid for their trip in full.
In the rare event that Canyons River Company is forced to cancel a trip for reasons beyond our control or discretion, such as wildfires, landslides or river corridor closure, no refunds will be issued but we will work with you to get you on another trip date, either in the same season or the following season. If Canyons River Company must cancel a trip due to insufficient bookings, we will happily transfer your money to a future trip date or issue a full refund.
